Quite Taken

Initially, I was going to share this lovely find from Goodwill and its transformation.

before

I am thrilled to have found this petite birdcage and its new look.

after

Also, I found this wonderful table runner!

Then when I was searching for how to embellish the birdcage, I was looking through our garden for moss and miniature flowers.

Then there she was. My La Marne bush – bursting with her many shades of pink.

It happens to me each time. I fall for this sweet diminutive rose.

So I snipped a few stems and buds.
I decided to place my sweet little white birds from this spring in and around the birdcage with a little bit of the greenery that came with the cage.

Then I thought to float some of the roses in some of my favorite teacups.

There’s something quite fetching about rose blossoms floating in teacups.

To add to the romance of the vignette, I added two
Green bubble depression dessert glassware with white, round candles.

The few stems I cut were put in this sweet angelic flower vase – to be set by my bedside.

Candlelight and roses were meant for each other.

It began as a transformation of objects
then in the end – I was transformed
by the mood set by the sweet birdcage
surrounded by my dear roses and candlelight.

I hope you’re having a marvelous day and you find delight in the small and the simple things.
