Monet Inspired


Welcome

luncheon for two
I have long called this tablecloth my "Monet Tablecloth".
It reminds me of Monet's paintings in his later years.

remember the butterfly napkin holder from

Monet was an avid Impressionist painter, gardener and cook.
*********
flowers arranged

*******
His artwork transitioned when he was in his late 60's due
to cataracts in his eyes.
Cataracts affect one's ability to discern color and blurs the
image one sees.

menu: turkey salad (from mother-in-law) sandwich

cookies
tea

Despite this Monet continued to paint, even when in the 1920's he
became nearly blind.

As an aspiring amateur artist I am inspired by Monet...
as a person as well.
