Sweet as Spring
Tea Between Friends

‘…her expression grew serious, worried, petulant
because she was afraid of missing the flower show,
or merely of not being in time for tea, with
muffins and toast, at the Rue Royale tearooms,
where she believed the regular attendance was
indispensable in order to set the seal upon a
woman’s certificate of elegance…’
Swann in Love, Marcel Proust

What a lovely notion tea.
Whether you’re on your own or with family or friends.

It is a wonderful thing to take time out of one’s day
to recharge. A tea can be a simple affair – with

tea and muffins or toast. Or a lovely, light meal with sandwiches
and sweets. It is a time to rekindle ~ to reflect ~
to reconnect.

I have thoroughly enjoyed joining in and visiting the
Delightful tea parties.
Or those showing what they love about their life and their homes.

'I drink coffee by the gallon, but at four o'clock
I always have a cup of tea. I would never
drink coffee then. I'll make myself a pot of
tea because it's teatime and I'll sit down
and really enjoy my tea'. Anne Slade

Or those showing what they love about their life and their homes.
Whatever you're sharing or celebrating today, I hope
you take a moment for yourself or with friends
to enjoy the pleasure of tea.

' We gather simple pleasures like daisies by the way.'
Louisa May Alcott

Whatever you're sharing or celebrating today, I hope
you take a moment for yourself or with friends
to enjoy the pleasure of tea.

'As I grow older the simple pleasures
of life become even more important'.
Colette Bitker

Making time for tea is definitely one of those
simple pleasures we must treasure.

I am so happy for Sandi and 52 tea parties.
I look forward to a full year of sharing my home,
to  delight in your company
and a good cup of tea.
